I had a wonderful solo retreat at Rise Temple Retreat. Amanda was a very welcoming and accomodating host. I had my own private sitting room, bedroom and central kitchenette area where I could also do yoga. It was very clean and comfortable. The property is stunning and I enjoyed taking a sauna every day and then a dip in the natural spring fed waterhole. About Amanda Jane

I created Rise Temple as a sanctuary for stillness, self-discovery and meaningful reconnection.

Through meditation, breathwork and guided self-inquiry, I support individuals and couples in slowing down, reconnecting with themselves and exploring life beyond the constant activity of the mind.

My approach is gentle, grounded and accessible, offering a space where people can step away from the pressures of everyday life and return to a greater sense of presence, clarity and inner calm.

As someone who once struggled with social anxiety, I know firsthand how powerful it can be to slow down and look within.

What began as a search for relief gradually became a deeper exploration of self-awareness, presence and what it truly means to live with greater peace and authenticity.

Today, I share the practices and insights that have transformed my own life, creating a space where others can reconnect with themselves, gain clarity and discover what matters most.

My role is not to fix or change anyone, but simply to guide people back to the wisdom and stillness that already exists within them.

I can only describe my time at Rise Temple with Amanda Jane as a gentle, comfortable ‘out of body’ experience. The picturesque drive up through farmland giving way to rainforest, didn’t prepare me for the idyllic setting. Grassy banks, to a small tranquil lake with a waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation… my dream space.

  • No experience is necessary. Whether it’s your first time trying breathwork and meditation or you’ve been practising for years, each session is guided step by step. Many guests describe the experience as grounding, safe, and deeply restorative.

  • Many people come to Rise Temple seeking rest, clarity or relief from stress. Others arrive because they feel called to explore life more deeply and reconnect with themselves.

    There is no need to follow a particular belief system or spiritual path. The approach at Rise Temple is grounded, accessible and centred around direct experience, allowing each person to explore at their own pace.

  • Rise Temple is set in Upper Burringbar in the Byron Bay Hinterland, around 30 minutes north of Byron Bay and 30 minutes south of Tweed Heads/Gold Coast. Our space is surrounded by nature, complete with a spring-fed dam and waterfall, making it an ideal sanctuary for relaxation and renewal.

  • Just comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and an open heart. Everything else — mats, cushions, blankets, and herbal tea — is provided. For retreats, we’ll send a full list of what’s included and recommended to bring.
